About this program
Innovate UK Business Connect is offering Farmed Animals and Aquaculture SPARK Awards of up to £20,000 per project to accelerate innovative products, processes, or services that support sustainable production in UK farmed animal and aquaculture sectors. Projects must be led by a UK-registered academic institution or Research and Technology Organisation (RTO) in collaboration with a UK-registered SME, address an SME development challenge, and include a plan for commercialisation or exploitation of outcomes. Eligible topics include breeding, health, nutrition, and precision agriculture, while equine projects, wild-caught fisheries, companion animals, and predominantly fundamental research are excluded. Applications close at 11:00 GMT on 26 November 2025, with projects running from 2 February to 2 November 2026.
