FARS Innovation in Financial Accounting Education Award

About this program

The American Accounting Association’s Financial Accounting and Reporting Section offers the annual Innovation in Financial Accounting Education Award to recognize individuals or groups whose innovative programs, research, frameworks, instructional resources, or course materials improve financial accounting education and can be adopted by other institutions. The award includes a $1,500 cash prize and engraved plaque, with recipients recognized at the next FARS midyear meeting. Nominees must include at least one FARS section member, and recipients must be willing to share unpublished instructional materials with section members. FARS members must submit nominations by September 15, including the nomination form and supporting documentation such as a résumé and recommendation letters demonstrating innovation, educational value, and adaptability.
