Finlandia Foundation National Lecturer of the Year 2027

About this program

Finlandia Foundation National invites applications for its 2027 Lecturer of the Year, supporting a lecturer who will present on Finnish American or Finnish cultural topics across the United States from January 1 through December 31, 2027. The program provides up to $8,000 in travel support for engagements organized by FFN chapters, while host organizations pay the lecturer’s honorarium. Applicants must be nominated by another party and submit written support letters, an application, and materials describing the proposed topic and presentation approach. The selected lecturer must commit to at least eight chapter events during the term; applications are due October 1, 2026.
