Fjällräven Field Grant

About this program

The Explorers Club and Fjällräven offer $5,000 Field Grants supporting field exploration and scientific research on the environment, climate change, wildlife, and human-environment connections during the 2027 field season. Applications are due September 6, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. ET. Eligible applicants are graduate or postgraduate students and early-career scientists conducting fieldwork in the natural sciences; Explorers Club membership is not required, but proposals involving research in China or submitted by Chinese citizens are ineligible. Applications must include a clear, accessible project description, two letters of support, and information on required research permits.
