About this program

The Flinn Foundation’s Translational Seed Grants Program offers $100,000 awards to advance innovative, clinically compelling products or processes—including medical devices, diagnostics, health technologies, therapeutics, and precision-medicine solutions—toward commercialization and patient benefit. Projects should demonstrate strong translational potential and may use funds for prototyping, validation, research, customer discovery, and follow-on funding development. Applicants must be multidisciplinary teams of scientists and clinicians affiliated with Arizona-based nonprofit academic or medical research institutions or health systems, with the PI eligible to serve in that role and an established or developing path for intellectual-property licensing or ownership. Applications require institutional endorsement, a project summary, and a required slide deck; the deadline is Sept. 11 at 5 p.m.
