Gary R. Olson Paleontology Educator Classroom Materials Grant

About this program

The Association of Applied Paleontological Sciences (AAPS) offers the Gary R. Olson Paleontology Educator Classroom Materials Grant to support the purchase of fossils, replicas, educational kits, books, posters, and other paleontology-related materials. Awards of up to $250 are available to two classrooms at each elementary, middle, and high school level annually. Public, private, and charter school educators worldwide may apply, and AAPS membership is not required; applicants must submit a detailed materials budget, intended uses and outcomes, educator and school information, and a current educator photo ID. Applications must be received by November 1 for consideration in the following calendar year; international applicants must have a bank account capable of receiving U.S. wire transfers.
