G. Olsen Classroom Materials Grant

About this program

The Association of Applied Paleontological Sciences (AAPS), with support from its corporate and private sponsors, offers the Gary R. Olson Paleontology Educator Classroom Materials Grant to fund fossils, replicas, educational kits, books, posters, and other paleontology-related classroom resources. Awards of up to $250 are provided to two classrooms at each elementary, middle, and high school level annually. Public, private, and charter school educators worldwide may apply, and AAPS membership is not required; applicants must submit a materials budget, intended uses and outcomes, educator and school information, and a current educator photo ID. Applications must be received by November 1 for consideration in the following calendar year; international applicants must have a bank account able to receive U.S. wire transfers.
