Gateway Fund - North Adams Public Schools Grants

Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation’s Gateway Fund is an endowed grant program supporting projects that enrich the educational experience of students and teachers in North Adams Public Schools, funding direct project costs for initiatives such as new programs, extracurricular activities, visiting artists, field trips, equipment, library resources, and teacher professional development. Awards generally run up to $1,000 for education enrichment projects and up to $5,000 for arts integration; applications are submitted via Berkshire Taconic’s portal with a deadline of October 15, 2026. Eligible applicants include NAPS students, teachers, administrators, staff, parents, nonprofits and community members; grants may not replace public district funding or cover salaries, and priority is given to proposals that leverage volunteer efforts and additional support. Proposals are reviewed by a Gateway committee with final recommendations considered by Berkshire Taconic’s board, and applicants must adhere to the fund’s nondiscrimination policy.
