General Operating Support (GOS) Grants

About this program

The Utah Division of Arts & Museums (Department of Cultural & Community Engagement) is offering General Operating Support (GOS) grants to provide unrestricted operating funding to Utah-based arts organizations, museums, and designated local arts agencies for FY26/27; the current cycle is closed and the next round opens January–February 2027. Eligible applicants are Utah-based 501(c)(3) nonprofits or government agencies with a primarily arts-based mission, museums with a physical public location and an active collection, or designated local arts agencies; organizations with annual revenue under $5,000 are ineligible. Applicants must apply through the online grants portal using the prescribed budget form and may choose a full or simplified application based on annual budget (simplified generally for budgets ≤ $20,000 or organizations that historically receive modest awards); scoring rubrics and guidance materials are provided.
