General Program Support (GPS)

About this program

The Florida Department of State, Division of Arts and Culture offers General Program Support (GPS) grants to fund general operating and programmatic activities—rather than single projects—by Florida arts and cultural organizations to support exhibits, performances, educational programming, and professional services that advance the State’s cultural objectives. GPS funding is available in four tracks (discipline-based, Local Arts Agency, State Service Organization, and Arts in Education), each with specific focus and eligibility requirements. Applicants must be a Florida public entity or a Florida nonprofit tax‑exempt corporation with at least one year of completed arts programming, an active registration with the Florida Division of Corporations, vendor registration with the Department of Financial Services (Florida Substitute W‑9), a UEI number, the most recent fiscal year operating budget, and be in good standing with the Division at the time of application. Funds are NEA subawards subject to state and federal rules (including 2 CFR 200); the next application cycle opens in 2026 for the July 1, 2027–June 30, 2028 grant period.
