The Society for Integrative and Comparative Biology (SICB) offers the annual George A. Bartholomew Award to recognize an early-career investigator’s distinguished contributions to comparative physiology, biochemistry, or related areas of functional and integrative biology. The award includes an invited address at the SICB annual meeting, a commemorative plaque, and potentially a cash prize and travel reimbursement. Candidates must be SICB members who earned their doctorate within the seven calendar years preceding the award meeting and have not received the Carl Gans or M. Patricia Morse Award; applications or nominations must include a research statement, selected reprints, CV, leadership and mentoring statement, and three support letters. Nominations are due September 10 and should be emailed to the DCPB Chair.
