About this program
The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) presents the George Winter Award to recognize an active structural engineering researcher, educator, or practitioner who advances the profession while demonstrating commitment to social or artistic community needs. The award includes a bronze medal and honorarium and is presented at the Annual Structures Congress Awards Luncheon. Nominees may be from any institution or organization and need not be ASCE members, but must be first and foremost structural engineers with significant practical design or research contributions. Nominations are due November 1 and must include a signed cover letter, the nominee’s CV or biographical information, and two or three recommendation letters.
