About this program

Gilead Sciences’ Research Scholars Program supports innovative research by emerging investigators worldwide to address unmet medical needs and health inequities, investing in new perspectives to advance scientific understanding. The program awards four grants of up to $100,000 USD each (paid to the recipient’s institution in annual installments of up to $50,000 over two years), with second-year funding contingent on an approved progress report. Applicants must be junior/emerging investigators who meet the program’s eligibility criteria; proposals are competitively reviewed by a Scientific Review Committee and selected based on scientific merit, feasibility, and innovation under nondiscriminatory principles.
