Good Neighbor Fund Travel Assistance for the January 2027 MLA Convention

About this program

The Modern Language Association will provide partial travel reimbursement of up to $400 from its Good Neighbor Fund for eligible members residing outside the United States and Canada who attend the January 2027 Convention. Limited assistance is also available for registered, waived nonmember participants residing outside the United States and Canada. Applicants must be current nonstudent regular or life members who belonged to MLA the previous year; members may receive the grant only once every three years, except eligible council-appointed committee or Delegate Assembly members, who may apply annually during their terms. Applications are due 1 November, with limited awards available.
