Graduate Student Travel Grant

About this program

Western Michigan University’s Graduate College offers Graduate Student Travel Grants of up to $1,000 to support in-person travel to professional meetings or events where graduate students present research, exhibit or perform creative work, or otherwise disseminate scholarly results. Grants are offered during the fall and spring semesters and do not support general conference attendance, workshops, or standard supplies and equipment. Applicants must be admitted WMU graduate students in good academic standing with a minimum 3.0 GPA, enrolled during the application semester, and serving as the invited presenter or principal student investigator. Applications require proof of invitation or selection and a faculty advisor’s letter of support; students may receive up to two grants at the master’s or specialist level and up to three at the doctoral level.
