Grant-Funded Brownfield Assistance

About this program

Ohio EPA’s Ohio Brownfields program offers no-cost Targeted Brownfield Assessment and Technical Assistance services, funded through U.S. EPA grants, to support the evaluation, cleanup planning, and redevelopment of brownfield properties. Assistance may include Phase I and II environmental assessments, asbestos and lead-based paint surveys, and guidance on Ohio’s Voluntary Action Program. Eligible applicants include counties, cities, villages, townships, port authorities, county land banks, other local or quasi-government entities, and nonprofit organizations. Applications are accepted from October 1, 2025, through September 30, 2030.
