Grants-in-Aid for Graduate Students MacArthur Award

About this program

The American Psychology-Law Society’s Graduate Grants-in-Aid Committee, with support from the MacArthur Foundation, offers awards of up to $2,000 for promising graduate research on adjudicative competence in juveniles and adults. Funding may support either stand-alone projects or seed money for larger studies, with clearly justified budgets and generally no travel expenses. Applicants must be graduate students and current AP-LS members, may submit one application per cycle, and must provide prior IRB approval and relevant tax forms; preference is given to first-time recipients and underrepresented students. Applications follow the general Grants-in-Aid instructions and timeline, with annual deadlines of October 15 and January 15.
