About this program
The Association of American Geographers (AAG) offers the Harold M. Rose Award for Anti-Racism Research and Practice to honor geographers whose research advances the discipline and whose sustained contributions demonstrate meaningful impact on anti-racist practice. The award is presented at the AAG Annual Meeting. Individuals are eligible regardless of AAG membership status and must comply with the AAG Professional Conduct Policy; nominations must include a statement of no more than 500 words and two to three letters of recommendation. Nominations for the 2027 award are due by September 15, 2026, at midnight Eastern Time.
