Heritage Partnership Program

About this program

The Minnesota Historical Society offers competitive Heritage Partnership Program grants to build capacity and develop sustainable partnerships that preserve and expand public access to Minnesota’s history and cultural resources. Grants of at least $10,000 support partnership planning, shared workforces, services, or resources, with projects completed within 12 months and no required match. Eligible applicants must be partnerships of two or more Minnesota-based educational institutions, state or local government units, 501(c)(3) nonprofits, and/or federally recognized tribes, with shared interests, contributions, missions, and benefits. A pre-application is required by January 22, 2027, followed by a final application deadline of March 5, 2027.
