HIMA Doctoral Dissertation Award 2026

About this program

The Histopathological Image Analysis (HIMA) workshop, organized by the Association for Pathology Informatics (API), offers a doctoral dissertation award recognizing outstanding research in digital and computational pathology and supporting the next generation of field leaders. The award includes a certificate, waived registration, and reimbursement of reasonable travel expenses up to $1,000 domestically or $1,500 internationally to present at the HIMA 2027 Workshop in Minneapolis. PhD students worldwide are eligible, provided their dissertations were successfully defended after September 1, 2023; applicants should submit a cover letter, five-page dissertation summary, CV, supervisor support letter(s), and a publication sample by September 1, 2026.
