HIMA–API Doctoral Dissertation Award in Digital and Computational Pathology

The Histopathological Image Analysis (HIMA) workshop, organized through the Association for Pathology Informatics (API), offers the 2026 Doctoral Dissertation Award to recognize outstanding research in digital and computational pathology and support emerging leaders in the field. Applicants must submit a cover letter, five-page dissertation summary, CV, supervisor support letter(s), and a sample publication by September 1, 2026. The award is open worldwide to PhD students whose dissertations were successfully defended after September 1, 2023, with encouragement for women and underrepresented minorities to apply. The recipient must present at HIMA 2027 in Minneapolis; registration is waived and travel reimbursement of up to $1,000 domestically or $1,500 internationally is available.
