About this program

The Department of Housing and Community Development is offering approximately $14 million in unclaimed HOME 2024 funds on a first-come, first-served basis for affordable housing activities, including homebuyer assistance, owner-occupied rehabilitation, tenant-based rental assistance, and related multifamily and CHDO projects. Funded activities must benefit low- and very low-income households and be located in state HOME-eligible jurisdictions or on Tribal lands. Eligible applicants include non-HUD entitlement cities and counties, Native American entities, and state-certified Community Housing Development Organizations (CHDOs). Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis until funds are exhausted or the next program activities NOFA is released; no match is required.
