About this program

The Foundation for Food & Agriculture Research’s International Consortium for Antimicrobial Stewardship in Agriculture (ICASA) seeks research proposals advancing practical antimicrobial stewardship solutions for U.S. beef and swine production, including technologies, management practices, animal health and welfare, and cross-sector One Health priorities. Projects may request $100,000–$500,000 for 18–36 months and must address beef, swine, or cross-sector needs. Eligible applicants include domestic and international higher education institutions, nonprofits, for-profit organizations, and government-affiliated research agencies, with research relevant to U.S. beef or swine industries. Applicants must provide matching funds equal to at least 40% of the total project budget, and an approved pre-application is required before submitting a full proposal by September 2, 2026.
