Illinois Wildlife Preservation Fund Rehabilitation Grant Program

About this program

The Illinois Department of Natural Resources offers the Wildlife Preservation Fund Rehabilitation Grant Program to support the maintenance of facilities dedicated to caring for threatened or endangered wildlife species. Funding is available for structural repairs and maintenance of buildings, enclosures, and facilities, as well as direct project costs such as supplies and equipment.

Eligible applicants must possess a current wildlife rehabilitation license/permit from the Department and have provided care for endangered species in the last three years. Applicants must also have the necessary permits to care for migratory birds if they intend to use grant funds for this purpose.
