Immune Deficiency Foundation Research Grant Program

About this program

The Immune Deficiency Foundation offers one-year Research Grants of $25,000–$50,000 for noncommercial, patient-centered research addressing the treatment, diagnosis, health, or management of primary immunodeficiency (PI); the highest-scored application receives the Michael Blaese Research Grant Award. Eligible applicants are U.S.-based academic researchers in medicine or science, including M.D., D.O., Ph.D., and R.N. investigators, as well as students and trainees with an appropriate mentor and supporting documentation. Proposals using animal models are not eligible, institutional overhead is not funded, and applicants may submit only one application by September 14, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. ET.
