Immune Deficiency Foundation Research Grant Program

About this program

The Immune Deficiency Foundation offers one-year research grants of $25,000–$50,000 for noncommercial, patient-centered studies addressing the treatment, diagnosis, management, or broader understanding of primary immunodeficiency (PI); the highest-scored application receives the Michael Blaese Research Grant Award. Eligible applicants are U.S.-based academic researchers in medicine or science, including M.D., D.O., Ph.D., and R.N. investigators, as well as students and trainees with an appropriate mentor and supporting documentation. Animal-model studies, institutional overhead, and more than one submission per applicant are excluded; applications are due September 14, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. ET.
