Implementation Research Grant

About this program

The American Occupational Therapy Foundation (AOTF), in partnership with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT), offers the Implementation Research Grant to fund one-year projects (up to $50,000) that test strategies for adopting and integrating evidence-based occupational therapy interventions into clinical and community settings. Funded studies should use implementation science methodologies to address adoption, integration, barriers, sustainability, or outcome measurement and must include measurable implementation outcomes and collaboration with practice settings. Principal investigators must hold a doctoral degree (PhD, ScD, EdD, or DrPH), be occupational therapy practitioners or engaged in occupational therapy research, and have an institutional affiliation with research support; preference is given to early-career researchers and applicants from underrepresented or underresourced backgrounds.
