Implementation Research Grant

About this program

The American Occupational Therapy Foundation, with support from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, offers Implementation Research Grants to advance the adoption and sustainability of evidence-based occupational therapy practices in clinical and community settings. Awards provide up to $50,000 for one year or $100,000 for two years and support implementation science studies addressing practice barriers, integration strategies, translation, and measurable outcomes. Applicants must hold a doctoral degree, be occupational therapy practitioners or occupational therapy researchers, and have institutional research support; preference is given to early-career researchers and individuals from underrepresented backgrounds. Projects must use implementation science methodology, address evidence-to-practice gaps, collaborate with clinical settings, and demonstrate potential impact on occupational therapy practice.
