Individual awards for trainee and practising Religious Education and Home Economics teachers

About this program

All Saints Educational Trust offers individual awards to increase numbers of qualified Religious Education and Home Economics (including food and textiles) teachers and to improve skills, qualifications and retention by supporting trainee teachers on UK courses leading to qualified teacher status (or equivalent) and practising teachers pursuing CPD or postgraduate action research supervised by a UK higher education institution. Applicants must be UK citizens accepted onto a qualifying UK university or equivalent course leading to QTS (or be practising RE/HE teachers undertaking HEI‑supervised CPD/postgraduate action research) and must demonstrate financial need, as awards are not made where study could be funded privately or from public sources. Online applications open January 2026 (training Round 1: Jan–Apr 2026; Round 2 opens June 2026 and closes 5pm on 1 Sept 2026); applications for top‑up qualifications or CPD open June 2026 and close 5pm on 1 Sept 2026. Required supporting documents include an offer letter confirming a place on the course and professional references, and applicants must submit the online form and receive a confirmation email for their application to be considered.
