Industry Alignment Fund – Industry Collaboration Projects (IAF-ICP)

About this program

A*STAR’s Industry Alignment Fund — Industry Collaboration Projects (IAF-ICP) supports strategic R&D collaborations between public research performers and industry to generate industry‑relevant public sector R&D with clear potential economic outcomes (e.g., product/process innovations, increased R&D activity, capability building and ecosystem uplift). Proposals are assessed primarily on potential economic impact and contribution to Singapore’s R&D ecosystem, including the strength of industry partner commitment and a clear pathway to commercial or productivity gains; project duration is generally limited to 36 months (exceptions for corporate labs up to 60 months on a case‑by‑case basis). Only Singapore public research institutions may apply (companies and individual researchers cannot be applicants or co‑applicants), and awards are governed by a Strategic Oversight Committee with required post‑award monitoring of milestones, budget use and impact realisation.
