Industry Alignment Fund - Pre-Positioning Programme (IAF-PP)

About this program

A*STAR’s Industry Alignment Fund – Pre-Positioning Programme (IAF-PP) supports multidisciplinary programmes (new or existing) that develop industry-ready capabilities, deepen alignment of public-sector research with industry needs, and secure early industry involvement within the Human Health & Potential (HHP) or Manufacturing, Trade & Connectivity (MTC) domains; projects may run up to 5 years and are expected to yield industry participation within 3–5 years. Applications undergo technical and commercial review and final approval by the IAF-PP Strategic Oversight Committee, and require submission of LOI and full proposal, budget and presentation templates to the programme secretariat (note: RIE2025 calls are closed; RIE2030 details are expected Jan–Mar 2026). Programme Directors must hold at least a 0.7 FTE primary appointment at a Singapore publicly funded research or tertiary institution, run a Singapore-based laboratory or research programme, and demonstrate leadership in coordinating research programmes; proposals must align with HHP or MTC strategies and show clear potential for industry development and economic impact.
