About this program

The Women’s Alzheimer’s Movement (WAM), in partnership with Cleveland Clinic Research, invites applications for the WAM Young Investigator's Award to provide seed funding that accelerates diagnostics and treatments for Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias in women, supporting one Cleveland Clinic Project Staff/Project Scientist/Research Associate. The award funds salary and fringe up to $200,000 total over two years. Eligible applicants must be Cleveland Clinic–based Project Staff/Project Scientist/Research Associates and submit a scientific abstract and a lay abstract (each ≤200 words) using the provided template plus a mentor support letter attesting to available resources and that the proposal is not otherwise funded; applications are submitted via the Cleveland Clinic InfoReady portal by February 28, 2026 (9:00 pm). Preference is given to projects addressing sex as a biological variable and women’s cognitive health and to women applicants; awardees must attend the WAM Forum announcement, provide interim and final reports and lay summaries, present at a Town Hall, and complete annual outcome reporting.
