About this program

Cleveland Clinic’s 2025–2026 Syncope Award, established by Fetnat Fouad-Tarazi, M.D., supports manuscripts that advance diagnosis and treatment of syncope and related autonomic and cardiovascular disorders, awarding two cash prizes ($1,000 first place, $750 second place) at the Annual GME Awards Dinner. Applicants must be current Cleveland Clinic residents or fellows (clinical or basic science programs), with one submission allowed per applicant. Required materials include a CC Mentor Statement Letter, a manuscript, and a summary addressing relevant topics such as autonomic dysfunction, arrhythmias, orthostatic intolerance/POTS, hemodynamic and vascular mechanisms, treatment effects, and related systemic or genomic associations per the award guidelines. Internal submission deadline: March 1, 2026.
