About this program

The Cleveland Clinic Education Institute, funded by the Crile Family, offers the George and Grace Crile Traveling Fellowship to support a Cleveland Clinic resident or fellow in a surgical specialty in undertaking a defined educational or research travel project. The award includes a certificate, presentation of the experience to the Academic Department of Surgery Committee and the trainee’s program upon return, and up to $2,500 toward travel expenses (usable within 12 months or by graduation); one awardee will be selected. Eligible applicants are Cleveland Clinic surgical residents or fellows with at least one year of training remaining; applicants must self-nominate, submit a CV, project description, and three letters of support, and meet the internal deadline of March 1, 2026.
