Cleveland Clinic’s Research Program Committee (RPC) offers internal competitive pilot grants of up to $25,000 to support focused clinical and translational projects that generate pilot data, abstracts or publications to position investigators for external funding; priorities include clinician–basic science collaborations, early-career assistant professors, senior investigators shifting focus, and projects using the Clinical Research Unit. Awards are cost-shared: RPC funds up to $12,500 and the sponsoring clinical department must provide matching support up to $12,500 (RPC may award alternative budgets). Eligible PIs must hold a primary or secondary appointment in a Cleveland Clinic Clinical Department (physicians, PhDs, dentists, psychologists with active staff appointments; certain licensed clinical professionals with institute approval); trainees, volunteers and visiting personnel may not serve as PI but may be Co-Investigators, and only one application per applicant is allowed. Next submission deadline is 2026-02-02 (first 2026 cycle) with additional cycles through late 2026; applications must include required RPC forms and a plan for pursuing external funding.
