Innovation in Sustainable Engineering Award

The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) offers the Innovation in Sustainable Engineering Award annually to recognize civil engineering projects demonstrating creative, innovative approaches to economic, social, and environmental sustainability. The award consists of a trophy, and winning project descriptions may be considered for publication in Civil Engineering magazine; nominations are due November 1. Eligible projects must have been developed or implemented within the six years preceding the award year and must not also be candidates for the Outstanding Civil Engineering Achievement Award. Nominations should document the project’s sustainability innovation, anticipated benefits and replicability, client needs, and collaboration, and include designer and client information plus no more than four captioned color photographs.
