About this program

The Foundation for Food & Agriculture Research (FFAR), through the International Consortium for Antimicrobial Stewardship in Agriculture (ICASA), is soliciting applications under the ICASA 2026 RFA to fund research that advances antimicrobial stewardship in U.S. beef and swine production, emphasizing practical technologies, management, immune/genomic approaches and cross‑cutting One Health or data/traceability solutions. Projects may request $100,000–$500,000 for 18–36 months with anticipated start dates May–October 2027; a required pre‑application (opens May 20, 2026; due June 10, 2026) and invitation are needed to submit a full application (full due Sept 2, 2026). Eligible applicants include domestic and international higher‑education institutions, nonprofits, for‑profits and government‑affiliated research agencies with PIs possessing relevant expertise and work applicable to the U.S. beef or swine sectors; applicants must provide matching funds equal to at least 40% of the total project budget (no more than 50% of the match may be in‑kind and matches cannot come from U.S. federal entities).
