About this program

The International Iguana Foundation offers annual grants to support conservation projects benefiting iguanas, their habitats, and global biodiversity. Small-tier grants provide up to $10,000 for one year; large-tier grants of up to $25,000 over one to two years will not be awarded in the 2027 cycle, and small-tier proposals for 2027 are due September 20, 2026. Preference is given to projects addressing Critically Endangered, Endangered, or Data Deficient species, particularly those aligned with IUCN Iguana Specialist Group action plans. Applicants should demonstrate range-country participation, matching funds, sound scientific methods, feasibility, measurable conservation impact, and current compliance with reporting requirements; overhead and administrative costs are not eligible.
