International Visiting Scholarship

About this program

The International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation (ISHLT), supported by the ISHLT Foundation and partners, offers up to five annual International Visiting Scholarships of up to $6,000 each. Awards support travel, accommodation, and subsistence for visits that facilitate international exchange of knowledge and techniques in heart and lung transplantation and end-stage heart and lung failure. Applicants, their department/division head, or host must be ISHLT members in good standing, and applicants must be employed at their submitting institution, have held their position for at least one year, and not be industry employees. Visits must begin within six months of notification, and priority is given to international host institutions or reciprocal exchanges; applications are due September 30, 2026.
