iResearch: Past, Present and Future - Global Hybrid Conference

About this program

The National Coalition of Independent Scholars (NCIS), a nonprofit supporting scholarship beyond formal academia, invites submissions for the global hybrid conference “iResearch: Past, Present and Future,” held 15–17 April 2027. Contributions may address independent research histories, nontraditional methods, digital tools, risky research, future knowledge models, or interdisciplinary and creative practice, and may take the form of papers, talks, workshops, panels, performances, posters, or demonstrations. Researchers, practitioners, creators, and thinkers working outside traditional academic structures are eligible, and no institutional affiliation is required. Submissions must include a title, 200–300-word abstract, and 100-word author biography by 31 October 2026.
