ISTH Training Fellowship Program

About this program

The International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH) offers Training Fellowships to support short-term, up to two-month training for early-career clinicians and scientists in thrombosis and hemostasis, including clinical care, laboratory methods, and basic or clinical research. Awards support economy airfare and living expenses of US$750 per full week, with up to 10 fellowships expected annually; applications open May 1 and are due September 15. Applicants must be ISTH members, hold an MD or PhD, be within 10 years of completing relevant training, and demonstrate experience and publications in the field; standard eligibility is limited to residents of high-income economies, with specific provisions for China through the ISTH-INVENT Fellowship. Applications require a project plan, home- and host-institution endorsements, training at academic or clinical centers in different countries, and a commitment to return to the home institution for at least six months.
