J. D. Crawford Prize

About this program

The Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) Activity Group on Dynamical Systems awards the J. D. Crawford Prize biennially to one individual for recent outstanding contributions to nonlinear science, including theory, applications, experiments, computations, and simulations. The award includes a $750 prize, certificate, and reimbursement of reasonable travel expenses to the 2027 SIAM Conference on Applications of Dynamical Systems. Candidates must have made significant contributions evidenced by an English-language, peer-reviewed journal paper published between January 1, 2023, and December 31, 2026. Nominations must include a recommendation letter, the candidate’s CV, the key paper’s citation, and two or three expert support letters, and are due October 15, 2026.
