J.C. Stevens Award

About this program

The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), through its Environmental and Water Resources Institute, offers the J.C. Stevens Award for the best discussion of an eligible paper published in an online ASCE journal. The discussion must address hydraulics, including fluid mechanics or hydrology; the award typically includes a certificate and ASCE books valued up to $100 for the lead author, with certificates for coauthors. Papers coauthored by ASCE or EWRI members and nonmembers are eligible if at least one author is an ASCE or EWRI-only member in good standing, and recipients may not receive the prize more than once. Nominations are due October 1 and must include a signed cover letter from the nominator and one copy of the paper submitted through the nomination form.
