John Glover Travel Fund Bursaries

About this program

Sponsored by the Fisheries Research and Development Corporation (FRDC), the John Glover Travel Fund bursaries provide travel assistance to help full‑time Australian and New Zealand students attend the annual Australian Society for Fish Biology (ASFB) meeting, covering a minimum of $100 up to 50% of travel costs to a maximum of $600 (excluding accommodation and living expenses). Eligible travel includes interstate and international trips or intrastate travel over 500 km, with preference given to students travelling the greatest distance. Applicants must be full‑time students and ASFB student members at the time of the conference and must indicate interest during conference registration; claims for reimbursement must be submitted within six months after the conference. Funds cannot be used for administrative fees, indirect costs, organisational overheads, accommodation or living expenses.
