About this program
The American Accounting Association Management Accounting Section offers the Journal of Management Accounting Research (JMAR) Best Paper Award to recognize an outstanding paper published in JMAR; the winning author(s) receive a plaque and a $2,000 cash prize (cash awarded only to AAA MAS members), with the 2027 award to be presented at the Section Midyear Meeting in January 2027 in Atlanta, GA. Eligible papers must have been published in JMAR within the previous three years (for the 2027 award: 2024–2026). Nominations, including a statement of reasons, must be emailed to Markus Arnold, Chair of the Publications Committee, at markus.arnold@unibe.ch by September 1, 2026; nominations are evaluated by the Publications Committee.
