Community Foundation of the Virgin Islands (CFVI) offers the Judith A. Towle Environmental Studies Fund, providing annual grants (up to $12,000) for innovative, applied projects that address shared environmental concerns across the insular Caribbean, including internships, applied research, workshops, citizen science, and publications. Projects may focus on a single island but must demonstrate transboundary relevance and prioritize practical, on‑the‑ground results that apply global issues (biodiversity loss, climate change, nature‑based solutions) to local contexts. Eligible applicants are Caribbean residents, Caribbean-based not‑for‑profit institutions, or graduate students conducting work in the insular Caribbean; for‑profit organizations and government entities are not eligible. Proposals must follow CFVI’s required 10‑header format and be submitted as a single-file email (max four single‑spaced pages plus up to three pages of supporting documentation) to general.info@cfvi.net by 15 September 2026.
