The American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics (ASPET) offers the annual Julius Axelrod Award in Pharmacology for sustained, original contributions to understanding the biochemical mechanisms of drug action and for outstanding mentoring in pharmacology. The award includes a $5,000 honorarium, commemorative medal, and complimentary registration and travel expenses to the ASPET Annual Meeting, along with lecture and symposium opportunities. Nominees must be ASPET members; nominations may be submitted by members or nonmembers, and self-nominations are encouraged. Applications must include an NIH biosketch, nomination letter, biographical summary, mentoring list, and statement addressing the award criteria; nominations are due September 21, 2026.
