About this program
The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) offers the Karl Emil Hilgard Hydraulic Prize annually for a paper of superior merit addressing the theory or practice of flowing water. The award consists of a wall plaque for the lead author and certificates for coauthors. Eligible papers must have appeared in an online ASCE journal between July and June of the year preceding the award, and authors need not be ASCE members. Nominations are due October 1 and must include a signed cover letter, a copy of the paper, and a completed contributing-authors list.
