Keely Lake Travel Grant for School Groups

About this program

The Classical Association of the Middle West and South (CAMWS) offers Keely Lake Travel Grants of up to $2,000 to support domestic or international trips for grades 7–12 that enhance students’ learning and interest in Classical Studies. Eligible activities include visits to excavations, exhibits, and historic sites, as well as participation in excavations. Applicants must be grades 7–12 teachers with current individual CAMWS membership and must submit a budget, proposed dates, detailed activities and timeline, plus an excavation director’s letter when applicable. Deadlines are September 30 for fall travel and January 30 for spring or summer travel; recipients must submit post-trip documentation, an outcomes report, and photographs for CAMWS publication.
