About this program
The American Society of Criminology’s Division on Corrections and Sentencing offers two $540 Dr. Kimchi Memorial Graduate Travel Awards to support graduate students’ travel to the ASC annual meeting to present their research. Applicants must have completed a master’s degree and be pursuing a doctorate in criminal justice or a related field, with preference for students who have completed coursework and advanced to candidacy. Candidates must have an accepted ASC presentation featuring quantitative, data-driven research on topics such as racial or social justice, recidivism, community sanctions, sentencing, imprisonment, or formal social control. Applications, including a research proposal of no more than 600 words and a CV, are due to Eileen Ahlin by August 31, 2026.
